Karnataka to issue Old Pension Scheme order soon, says DCM G Parameshwara in Tumakuru

Tumakuru: The Karnataka government is committed to implementing the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) for its employees and an order will be issued soon, Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara said.

Speaking at a Teachers’ Day programme in Tumakuru, Parameshwara said the government remained committed to the promise made ahead of the 2023 Assembly election despite financial constraints.

He also said steps had been initiated to recruit 15,000 teachers and to fill vacancies in universities.

A formal government order on OPS is still awaited. The scope of the scheme, employee eligibility, implementation date and other operational details will become clear after that order is issued.
