Explainer: what Tumakuru City Corporation does — and what it does not
Waste, water, parking, hospitals — a plain map of civic versus district duties.
Most complaints are sent to ‘the corporation’. Drinking-water schemes, taluk hospitals and the national highway are not corporation files.
Corporation: solid waste, streetlights, property tax, building licences, city streets. District administration: revenue, disaster, some water projects. PWD: state highways.
